Pivot Capital Limited (formerly Pivot Trust & Investment Company) is a comprehensive financial services company tailored to meet the needs of the investing public. Pivot Capital was incorporated on 18th December, 1989 as Pivot Finance Limited and commenced business on 1st of August 1990, and was admitted as a dealing member firm of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on 2nd October, 1991. The company is a dealing member firm of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and is also registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a Capital Market operator in the capacity of Broker.
With the support of a Board of Directors whose members have distinguished themselves in Stockbroking, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Management, Engineering, Pension Fund Administration and a Management team with rich diverse backgrounds, Pivot Capital has continued to grow to be a major player in today’s Nigerian capital market.
The hallmark of our existence is the need for personalized services which call for an in-depth knowledge of our clients’ requirements and how best to meet these needs.
It commenced business as a finance company with emphasis on credit, LPO financing, leasing, import and export finance etc. With the collapse of Forum Empire and the crisis of the industry in 1993, Pivot shifted emphasis to fee-earning activities and concentrated on capital market activities with stock-broking as a major thrust.
